Back in Action: A Preview of Extraction 2’s Excitement

Extraction 2’s teaser was released, and it has fans buzzing like bees ever since. In the last movie, fans were brought to a sad ending when Tyler. Was shot and fell into the river. Everyone understood that he had died and had no choice but to move on. But then there was a buzz around the room about the filming of Extraction 2 starting, but how.

With Tyler being dead. Will the sequel follow a new hero taking the place of our beloved Tyler. Well, if you have watched that teaser, then you know that Tyler is indeed alive and well. After he falls into the river, he recalls a quote, “you do not drown in the river. By falling in it. You drown in the river by staying submerged in it. Tyler’s eyes open, and he swims to the surface at that point.

The teaser provides us nothing to hold on to except for the fact that Tyler is still alive, and that’s enough for us. The teaser starts by showing us how Tyler died at the end of the last movie and then shows. Him surviving and coming back to the surface. Extraction 2’s synopsis reads: “After barely surviving his grievous wounds from his mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Tyler Rake is back.

His team is ready to take on their next mission. Tasked with extracting a family who is at the mercy of a Georgian gangster, Tyler infiltrates one of the world’s deadliest prisons. In order to save them. But when the extraction gets hot, and the gangster dies in the heat of battle, his equally ruthless brother. Tracks down rake and his team to Sydney, in order to get revenge. 

The Extraction 2 is being directed by Sam Hargrave who is known for directing the first Extraction as well and had performed stunts in Atomic Blonde. Avengers Endgame the film is penned by Joe Russo, who is an American filmmaker and producer who works alongside his brother Anthony Russo. You, Me, and Dupree, Cherry, and the Marvel flicks Captain America. 

The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame were all directed by them. Endgame is one of the most successful movies of all time. Joe also wrote the first Extraction, so we can pretty much keep the expectations. We had from the first movie as the writer-director duo is returning.  

The teaser did not provide us with much as to what will happen in the movie, and personally, I don’t mind that. We will see what happens in the movie when we watch it. The movie has Chris Hemsworth as the lead role, who has previously appeared in numerous movies, some of them being Avengers. Endgame, Thor, Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarök, Avengers: Infinity War, and many more.

Extraction 2’s release date is yet to be announced, but fans are expecting it to drop this year as the movie. Already finished filming and is now in post-production, so it can be safe to expect a release date somewhere in the winter.
